Retirees Name Officers

Local 675 Retirees Club plans its next quarterly meeting on Tuesday, August 10, at 9 a.m. at the Moanalua Golf Clubhouse.

Its new slate of officers include: Glenn Hashimoto, president; Darren Niino, vice president; Wayne Murakami, secretary; Arthur Fong, treasurer.

PENSION BENEFIT EXTENDED

The PAMCAH-UA Local 675 Board of Trustees has approved extension of the $167 per retirement year factor for pension benefit units earned through August 31, 2010.

Translated, that means as an example, a retiree with 10 credited pension years with no break in service, is entitled to $167 x 10 equaling $1,675 as his pension benefit per month.

“We’re pleased for the trustees’ action benefiting all retirees, in light of a continuing severe economy,” business manager Reginald Castanares said.

Retirees to Elect New Officers for 2010-11

The Retirees Club welcomes Local 675’s latest pensioners to attend the upcoming quarterly meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 8, at the Moanalua Golf Clubhouse when new officers for the 2010-11 biennium will be elected. It starts at 10 a.m. Attendees are encouraged to bring food donations as part of the club’s annual community service.
